United Way of Greater Cleveland Health & Human Services Statement
When a donor requests to designate his or her gift to an agency outside United Way of Greater Cleveland's currently funded programs,
we request that the agency provide information to us regarding its eligibility. In general, the organization must be
located and provide health and human services in Northeast Ohio and be
certified as a nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
United Way Services does not visit these organizations, nor does it review the
accounts as it would a partner agency.
To have your organization certified by United Way of Greater Cleveland as a nonprofit health and human services agency, a donor must designate to your organization on their pledge form. Once the designation is received, a Designee's Health and Human Services Statement will be sent to you to be completed.
