1-888-OHIOCOMP sets the pace for community service

This year, 1-888-OHIOCOMP joined the 85+ companies in the Greater Cleveland area that have stepped forward and participated in the 2008-09 United Way of Greater Cleveland Annual Campaign for the first time.

Many of these "New to United Way" companies joined this year's campaign for the first time through our New Business Development initiative. United Way of Greater Cleveland is developing new ways for companies of all sizes and from all industries to join in on the efforts to help our neighbors. With fundraising efforts designed around your company's style, ethos, timetable and profiles, United Way can deliver a lot more to your team, while ensuring that one in four Cuyahoga County residents are helped every year through United Way funded programs.

1-888-OHIOCOMP has a long tradition of support for local communities, and this year they stepped up to the plate with their United Way campaign. This year they not only ran a first-time employee campaign, they jumped in as a United Way of Greater Cleveland Pacesetter organization. United Way Pacesetters are chosen, in part, based on their commitment to strengthening the community. As a Pacesetter they were instrumental in the early efforts to jump-start United Way's annual campaign, raising new dollars to create opportunities to improve the quality of life for all citizens of the Greater Cleveland community.
