A native Clevelander, Henry L. Meyer III has distinguished himself as a leader in both the for-profit and nonprofit communities. As Chairman of the Board and CEO of KeyCorp, Mr. Meyer leads one of the nation's largest bank-based financial services companies, a firm with more than $93 billion in assets and more than 19,000 employees. In 2005, he took on the added responsibility of leading United Way's fund-raising efforts as its Campaign Chair.
Mr. Meyer has worked for Key (and its predecessor companies) for more than 30 years. He was elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company in 2001. Mr. Meyer holds a bachelor's degree from Colgate University and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University.
KeyCorp has maintained a long tradition of actively encouraging community involvement through charitable contributions, employee volunteerism and civic leadership in the communities it serves. KeyCorp's commitment to United Way illustrates that tradition. In 2005, KeyCorp ran the largest workplace campaign for United Way of Greater Cleveland, contributing $3.9 million.
