Camp Ho Mita Koda Receives an "Extreme Makeover"
from 600 GE Volunteers
On Wednesday, May 17, more than 600 employees from GE Consumer & Industrial renovated Camp Ho Mita Koda, a camp for children with diabetes. Event Chair Steve Briggs commented, "The Day of Caring is special to each and every one of us because it leaves such a long-lasting impression in our lives. It is an overwhelming feeling you get when you witness the impact of what 600 GE employees working together can achieve. The memories remain with us because we know what a tremendous gift our time can bring to these special camps."
United Way Days of Caring gives volunteers the opportunity to donate a day of work at one of more than 130 community partner sites. Volunteers see first-hand the needs in our community and how their efforts can have a positive impact on the lives of people in need.
