Community Vision Council celebrates making a difference in Greater Cleveland
Community Vision Council (CVC) funders, volunteers and beneficiaries celebrated nearly five years of accomplishments at KeyBank recently. This group has taken the lead to work collaboratively in public/private partnerships on community-wide issues and build a health and human service infrastructure to improve the quality of life for all Greater Clevelanders. Their success includes leveraging the initial funding of $3 million each from United Way and The Cleveland Foundation to obtain an additional $11.5 million to fund initiatives. By focusing on specific issues in the areas of families and children, education and employment, health and seniors and backed by generous funders, the CVC has been able to make a difference in the community, said Robert W. Gillespie, Jr., Co-Chair with Steven A. Minter of the CVC.
