United Way of Greater Cleveland 2007-2008 Annual Meeting
It was a celebration of hope and opportunities at United Way of Greater Cleveland's Annual Meeting on March 7 when Campaign Co-Chairs Philip L. Rice, President and CEO of National City Bank, and Paul Clark, President of Northern Ohio Banking, National City Bank, announced that the campaign had surpassed its $42.3 million goal. "The 2007/2008 campaign raised $43 million because of the generosity of this great community," announced both co-chairs as balloons, confetti and applause filled the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel's grand ballroom, where more than 1,200 attendees packed the meeting. Henry L Meyer, United Way Board Chairman and KeyCorp Chairman and CEO, delivered the annual report to the community and introduced his successor to the United Way Board Chair position, Sandra Pianalto, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Charles A. Ratner, Community Vision Council Co-Chair and Forest City Enterprises, Inc. President and CEO, reported on the Community Vision Council.
