United Way of Greater Cleveland 2006-2007 Annual Meeting Ends on Happy Note
Our community won and celebration was in order at United Way of Greater Cleveland's Annual Meeting on March 2 when Campaign Co-Chairs Robert J. King, Jr., Financial Stocks, Inc. Managing Director, and Robert H. Rawson, Jr., Jones Day Partner-In-Charge Cleveland, announced exceeding the $43.6 million campaign goal. "The 2006/2007 campaign raised $43,835,030 because of the generosity of this community," announced both co-chairs amid balloons, confetti and applause that filled the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel grand ballroom as the 1200 attendees cheered for the results. Henry L. Meyer III, United Way Board Chair and KeyCorp Chairman and CEO, delivered the report to the community, and Robert Gillespie, Jr., Community Vision Council Co-Chair and KeyCorp Chairman Emeritus, reported on the Community Vision Council.
