    (Cleveland, Ohio) September 13, 2004
Cleveland Browns alumni, current players and corporate teams will take to the links for charity at the United Way's Seventh Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at Hemlock Springs Golf Club. The tournament, presented by the Cleveland Browns and Continental Airlines and hosted by Hemlock Springs Golf Club, generates major support for United Way Services of Greater Cleveland's 200 programs at more than 130 partner agencies.

The tournament begins with breakfast at 8:00 a.m., followed by a celebrity long drive contest and 18 holes of golf for fivesomes that include a Browns alumnus or current player. The day concludes with dinner and auctions at Ferrante Winery and Ristorante in Geneva.

"United Way Services of Greater Cleveland thanks the Cleveland Browns, Continental Airlines, Hemlock Springs Golf Club and all of the participants for their support of this important event," said K. Michael Benz, president and CEO of United Way Services. "The tournament brings all of us together to have fun, but more importantly, to help Greater Clevelanders."

Some of the dozens of Cleveland Browns alumni hitting the links are Tournament Chair Reggie Rucker, Reggie Langhorne, Greg Pruitt, Kevin Mack, Felix Wright and Webster Slaughter.

"The Cleveland Browns alumni and players always enjoy this annual golf tournament," said Browns' Alumni Director Dino Lucarelli. "It is an opportunity to make a difference in our community by helping people through United Way."
