Projects include: participate in bowling sessions with frail and disabled seniors (10:30 am - 1:00 pm) with Senior Citizens Resources; help set up and serve lunch at Hough Corp. and the Bishop Cosgrove Center (11:00 am - 1:00 pm); assist program participants at joining in an Oktoberfest Party at United Cerebral Palsy-Vocational Services Center; and paint and prime doors and doorframes, refinish wood tables, wash windows and plant bushes at the Far West Center.

WHY: United Way's Days of Caring offer volunteers an opportunity to gain personal understanding of how their contributions are put to work through a variety of health and human service programs, while completing much-needed projects and/or providing assistance with day-to-day tasks to United Way's nearly 130 partner agencies.
