    GE Quartz Volunteers freshen up the West Side Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., August 27, 2003.

    WHAT: GE Quartz's 1st Annual United Way Day of Caring

    WHO:GE Quartz's 80 volunteers will transform the West Side Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland by painting the interior and exterior of the building, installing a new archway connecting two resource rooms and replacing light fixtures and ceiling tiles.

    WHY:GE Quartz wanted to make a difference and show their commitment to the City of Cleveland and chose to embark on a United Way Day of Caring at the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. The agency provides quality programming that inspires and enables youth, ages 6-18, facing challenging life circumstances to achieve their full potential as productive, responsible and caring adults. The Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland annually serves more than 5,000 young people.
