Days of Caring 2008: Thanks to All
United Way
of Greater Cleveland's Days of
Caring program finished 2008 with participation from
nearly 2,000 volunteers and 50 organizations, completing
a variety of community service projects at United Way
partner agencies. Many thanks to our generous Days
of Caring sponsors, as well as the companies,
organizations and individuals who gave their time and
hard work to make it happen.

club announced its new "Fill the House for Charity"
initiative, committing $600,000 to support 13 local
nonprofit organizations, including United Way of Greater
Cleveland. At every Wednesday home game in the 2009
season, the Cleveland Indians will feature a local
charitable organization to build awareness about its
cause and also donate $5 for each game ticket the
charity sells. On top of that, the Indians will donate
another $1 of EVERY ticket sold for the game to that
charity. United Way's "Fill the House" game night will
be on September 30 against the Chicago White Sox.
Remember to visit United Way's Web site at the end of
February when tickets go on sale. Support your community
