THE LIVES YOU TOUCH

Tim Shaw

Financial literacy leads to home ownership
Timothy Shaw grew up in two different worlds -- living in an upscale home owned by his father in a Chicago suburb, and also living in a two-family home his mother rented in Cleveland's inner city. Since he knew firsthand some of the drawbacks of renting, Tim's goal was to own a home by the time he was 30. He had some financial issues to deal with. With the guidance of the Cleveland Housing Network, Tim signed up for the series of classes that cover the process of purchasing a home, clearing up your credit, determining how much you can afford, mortgage terms, and the art of successful home ownership.  Find out how Tim made his goal a reality >>
