THE LIVES YOU
TOUCH | | |
Determination Makes the
Difference Annie Douglas is determined -- to
get healthy, to prove that depression is a treatable
illness, and to help others who find themselves in
situations like hers. Learn how your
contribution to United Way helps Annie and
400,000 people in our community every
year. More >>
The Impact of Your
Giving Because of the generosity
of more than 90,000 donors and more than 1,700
organizations, and despite the worst economy in memory,
United Way of Greater Cleveland is able to maintain
funding to its programs at 90 percent of last year's
level. This occurred in a time when
funding reductions of 25 to 50 percent are not
uncommon. Thank you to the extraordinary volunteers and
donors who made this possible. Here are the funding details.

The First

Pro-Am It was a
beautiful day on the greens for golfers who participated
in the first United Way/Bridgestone
Invitational Pro-Am on the Firestone Country Club
South Course. The event raised more than $15,000 to help
those in need in our community. United Way is grateful
to the Northern Ohio Golf Charities and the
Bridgestone Invitational for hosting the event and
especially to Don Padgett, Bridgestone Invitational
