    GeneratioNEXT members enjoyed an evening in Paris without leaving Cleveland at the second annual PROMapalooza event Saturday, May 16, at the Ritz-Carlton's Silver Grille. La soirée of the year included entertainment by hip-hop band Lt. Dan's New Legs, who got everyone on the dance floor. All proceeds benefit United Way of Greater Cleveland. See the photos >>

    Grant Will Provide Multigenerational Play Area
    United Way volunteers will build a multigenerational play area on the Harvard Community Service Center grounds in Cleveland using the funds awarded by the Northern Ohio Charities Foundation, the PGA and the Bridgestone Invitational. This generous contribution will provide a place to promote family interactions among the 1,146 adults and 255 children the United Way agency serves.

    Pacesetter Kickoff July 9!

    The 2009 Pacesetter Kickoff Breakfast will be held on Thursday, July 9, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Greater Cleveland YMCA, 2200 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland. Pacesetters start and finish their workplace campaigns early and set the pace for the overall United Way of Greater Cleveland Campaign.     The Cleveland Indians have generously identified the September 30 game when the Indians play the Chicago White Sox as United Way's "Fill the House for Charity" game. And you and our community win!

    • Discount tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.indians.com/fillthehouse with the promotional password UNITED. And for every ticket sold there, the Indians will donate $5 to United Way.
    • Plus, if 750 tickets or more are sold through this promotion, the Indians will donate another $1 to United Way for EVERY ticket sold for the entire game!
    • And if you're up for a little competition, you can try out to sing the Star Spangled Banner or have your child yell "play ball" that night.
