GuitarMania Artists Kick It With Kenny at Tower City
GuitarMania artists Lisa Ruschman, Derek Dorsey, Amy Fette and Tish Luka were in the news early on the morning of March 13, appearing on Fox 8 News with reporter Kenny Crumpton, the popular reporter/host of "Kickin' it with Kenny" segments on the morning news program.
The artists appeared in a live broadcast with United Way special events manager Michelle Battle to demonstrate the creative work on their 9-foot-tall guitar entries at Tower City and talk about GuitarMania. For several weeks in March, the artists worked on their entries stationed on "GuitarMania Lane," the walkway above the fountain in Tower City.
Lisa Ruschman, owner of Stained Glass Gardens, is a returning artist for a third time, having previously created guitars for the 2002 and 2004 GuitarMania events. Her 2007 entry, "Rhythm in Blues," is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. Dorsey, Fette and Luka's guitar entry, "Stayin' Alive," is sponsored by their employer, Medical Mutual. Ruschman and Dorsey are also sponsored this year by United Way to design additional guitar entries.
