United Way of Greater Cleveland is a family of more than 130 partner agencies that helps Greater Clevelanders with their most pressing health and human care needs. Because of United Way contributors, our partner agencies' staff and volunteers are able to focus their time and caring on strengthening our local safety net of care and providing community solutions in all of the following areas:
By working together, we can make an even greater impact than any one person or partner can do alone. Just as public-private partnerships began to reshape our landscape more than a decade ago, United Way and our many community partners and volunteers are building on the successful model for economic development and applying it to human development through a major community-wide initiative called the Community Vision Council. Similarly, volunteers engaged in United Way's own Investment Committees provide integrity and oversight to an inclusive allocations process that also demands results and data-based decision making. United Way, through partnerships and collaborative efforts, is preserving our local safety net of care while working toward long-term solutions, thanks to mobilized efforts within a shared community-wide agenda to enhance the ability for all Greater Clevelanders to achieve their full potential.
