Community Solutions - Strong Families - Successful Children Community Solutions

    Senior Success

    Learning and Earning for Life

    Health and Caring for All

Goal: Provide opportunities for families and children to succeed.
We have a collective vision of a future in which all Greater Cleveland families share access to the basic requirements for success: adequate income; cherished, well cared-for children; good health; and quality education. We see all our residents as full partners in fulfilling our community vision for healthy and resilient families. Together, as we address the inter-related issues of poverty and employment, early childhood development, access to health care and improved education through community schools, our human capital infrastructure will be strengthened and our future protected.

Within the different investment committees are sub-categories under which individual programs and specific initiatives fall, which are called clusters. For Strong Families=Successful Children, there are four clusters: Youth Development; Child and Family Services; Basic Needs, and the largest of the four, Mental Health Counseling. Over 85,000 children or families received assistance last year through United Way funded programs, with most of those programs falling under the Strong Families=Successful Children investment committee.
