What is GeneratioNEXT?
One way of identifying future community leaders is through their early commitment to caring and philanthropy. United Way is the best choice for Greater Cleveland's leaders of tomorrow who want to be assured that their community investments will make a difference in the future of Greater Cleveland.
GeneratioNEXT was created to encourage, reward and grow this commitment to caring among the "Next Generation" of United Way donors and volunteers, those between the ages of 25 and 35. GeneratioNEXT members are a special category of valued donors, and they are invited to attend events throughout the year. One of the benefits of being a GeneratioNEXT member is an invitation to participate in the GeneratioNEXT Speakers Series.
GeneratioNEXT Speaker Series
Today's leaders are meeting tomorrow's through the GeneratioNEXT speaker series. The first of these meetings in 2006 was a sellout, with Henry Meyer, the CEO and chairman of KeyCorp, hosting members in his executive suite atop Key Tower on Public Square.
Last year, GeneratioNEXT members met with Meyer and with Sandra Pianalto, the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; Sandy Cutler, the chairman and CEO of Eaton Corporation; John Chapman, a partner of Deloitte and Touche LLP; and Christopher Connor, the chairman and CEO of The Sherwin-Williams Company.
An incredible lineup of community leaders is in store for this year's GeneratioNEXT speaker series. Make sure United Way knows who you are and your interest in getting information on this year's speaker series. Remember, only GeneratioNEXT members can attend these special events, so if you or a colleague wants to participate, please get involved.
We would especially like to encourage those who want to find out more about running your company's workplace campaign, supporting the campaign as a United Way Loaned Executive or those making a leadership level gift.
If you or another potential GeneratioNEXT member would like to join us, please contact Sarah Trimble at strimble@uws.org or 216-436-2185.
