| 2008 CHALLENGE GRANT OPPORTUNITIES |
Ten Greater Cleveland-area companies are challenging area businesses, organizations and individuals to spark new and increased giving to United Way of Greater Cleveland's Annual Campaign by providing $500,000 in challenge grants.
Heartfelt thanks to the following community leaders for issuing these challenges to our community to help create hope and opportunities for so many.

Community-Wide Needs Challenge Grant: Charter One Bank ($50,000), Forest City Enterprises, Inc. ($50,000) and The Lubrizol Corporation ($25,000) will match dollar for dollar - up to the grant total - all new or increased donations to Community-Wide Needs, United Way's general fund, and/or Investment Areas.
Law Firm Challenge Grant: Jones Day ($15,000) will match dollar for dollar -- up to the grant total -- all new and increased partnership, employee and/or special event donations to the 2008 Campaign through law firms.
Middle Market Challenge Grant: Oswald Companies ($10,000) and U.S. Bank ($75,000), will match dollar for dollar -- up to the grant total -- all new company,
employee and/or special event donations to the 2008 Campaign through the workplace.
New Business Challenge Grant: Eaton Corporation ($50,000)
and Parker Hannifin ($25,000) will match dollar for dollar -- up to
the grant total -- all new company, employee and/or special
event donations to the 2008 Campaign through the workplace.
Self-Sufficiency and Basic Needs Challenge Grant: KeyCorp ($100,000), will match dollar for dollar -- up to the grant total --
all new or increased donations to the Self-Sufficiency and Basic Needs Impact Area.
Small Business Challenge Grant: Medical Mutual of Ohio ($100,000) will match dollar for dollar -- up to the grant total --
all new and increased company, employee and/or special event donations from businesses with up to 100 employees.
